What we do
Culture represents a set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices. Our main aim is to preserve, conserve and promote our cultural heritage and promotion of all forms of art and culture. We aim to promote cultural awareness at the grassroots level. In order to achieve these objectives, we would like to undertake various activities on a regular basis. We would like to collaborate with other organisations which have similar objectives
Indian Heritage Centre believes in the principle ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” – a Sanskrit phrase found in Hindu texts which means “The World is One Family”.
We Organise
We organise key festival celebrations to bring people together and celebrate cultural diversity in a great way to foster community spirit.
We Create
We provide networking opportunities to Indian-origin students who are studying at UK universities.
We Encourage
We provide a platform for artists to encourage and showcase their talent & Encouraging traditional games and sports activities
We Promote
We promote the mantra of inclusion and equality and organise Health and wellbeing-related activities for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Cultural development
Cultural development is not a process of day one or two. This process needs continuous awareness and effort. Especially bringing awareness among young adults is much needed as they are the ones who will take this forward. Awareness, Encouragement, and Participation are 3 magic wands that can make this happen.
