The exhibition proudly showcased the works of three acclaimed artists, Dr. J. Dundaraja, Smt. Uma Nagendra and Sri. Shashank Bharadwaj.
The event was formally inaugurated by the Rt Hon Lord Mayor Cllr Robson with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. Lord Mayor Cllr Robson highlighted the vital connection between these paintings and heritage, emphasising the importance of cultural events that successfully bring communities together. Lady Mayoress Cllr Jayne Cowan was also in attendance, expressing her appreciation for the immense dedication and skill displayed by the artists.
The entire ceremony was professionally compered by Dr. Sunil Pulpakka. We are deeply grateful to Cllr Kannaya Singh and Cllr Jasmine Choudhary for their kind attendance and support. Our sincere thanks also go to the South Wales Police officers for dropping in to say hello and to all the community members who attended and encouraged the talented artists.
We also thank Dr Girish Nagendra and Mrs Roopa Girish to have coordinated this event with Indian Heritage Centre to manage this event.
