About US
Celebrating the rich tapestry of Indian culture and fostering global understanding through heritage.
Who We Are
"VASUDHAIVA KUTUMBAKAM"
- a Sanskrit phrase which means "THE WORLD IS ONE FAMILY".
The Indian Heritage Centre promotes and celebrates Indian culture while strengthening community cohesion, wellbeing, and inclusion across Wales. Guided by the principle Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — “the world is one family” — we create opportunities for people of all ages to connect, learn, and share cultural experiences.
Our work supports the Well‑being of Future Generations Act, contributing to a healthier, more equal, and culturally vibrant Wales. We champion the aims of the Welsh Government's Anti‑Racist Wales Action Plan by providing safe, inclusive spaces where diverse communities feel represented, valued, and heard.
Health and well-being are central to our mission. Through cultural activities, wellbeing workshops, traditional sports, and preventative health programmes, we help communities build resilience, improve confidence, and access information that supports healthier lifestyles. Our partnerships align with NHS prevention priorities, ensuring that seldom‑heard groups are supported to engage with services and improve long‑term health outcomes.
